Vietnam: A Journey Through Culture, Cuisine, and Scenic Wonders
We had been planning to visit a Southeast Asian country for quite some time. After extensive research and brainstorming, we decided on Vietnam. I was particularly excited about this trip as it marked my first international journey in six long years. We landed in Ho Chi Minh City on December 24, 2024, around 10 AM. Upon arriving at our hotel in the city center, we left our luggage in the lobby since check-in wasn’t until 2 PM. With a few tasks to complete before starting our adventure, like exchanging currency and getting a Viettel SIM card, we set off on foot. Despite our efforts, we couldn’t find an open SIM store and decided to revisit this task later in the evening. After a quick brunch at the hotel and some rest, we booked a Grab to a Viettel store and successfully purchased a SIM. Feeling hungry again, we opted for pizza instead of Vietnamese cuisine and headed to a nearby Domino’s. Surprisingly, their pineapple and cheese pizza, paired with honey, became one of my new favorites. ...
